Re: There's stopping, and then there's the ability to perform the Heimlich manuever..
Uh oh, sounds like I'm a party pooper and that wasn't my intention at all. I just want the people that go the direction of huge brakes to know why they're spending the money. For looks, worth every penny. Wow factor, worth every penny. Clamping force ie stopping power, in spades. Just be aware that the brakes may feel better, need less pedal pressure .... and may be better, but the stopping distance is more dependent on what tire and how wide. I'm a Stoptech owner and fanboy. I never realized their potential until I put stickier tires on. Maybe the 8 pots front and 4 pots in the back with street pads really make a difference. I know that the more aggressive pads that will make the stock brakes much better are not everyday friendly. Just take my words as from the perspective of my personal experience in my part of the world. I don't live where conditions change (no cold weather) and haven't tried my Stoptechs with anything but track pads. Nothing is sexier on a Crossfire than a BBK be it Stoptech, Brembo, AMG 4, 6 or 8 pots, Rotora AP Racing, Willwood etc. Go for it.
