Stacked stories, hit me
I just finished installing my Code3 to compliment the 178 crank pulley. This is only for the weekend guys but I'd like to hear from those who've done it so I'm clear in my mind what to watch out for.
Why only the weekend? 1/2 mile event at Roosevelt Roads is why and the 5.0 Mustangs have been talking lots of trash. Our history is that I start out faster than them but then they get out their computers and make change after change after change until they've managed to best me by 1/2mph. I believe stacked could work for me where it didn't for others for a couple of reasons. I'm keeping the air cool with my water/meth system so I should see 23 to 24º of advance all the way down the track. I have long tube headers that have effectively lowered the boost from the 178. I shouldn't reach the over boost threshold. And the tank will have 98 octane in it. (5 gallons of 104 and 5 gallons of 93)
The stock pulley and tools to swap back to stock will make the trip just in case the combo is a failure. I may switch back at the airport even if the combo is a success just to see the difference.
Whichever way it turns out, give my an ear full.
