Default Re: Chrysler to Replace '05 Convertible Tops Under TSB - YAHOO!!

As a new 05 crossfire roadster owner let me add my 2 cents worth on this topic. I called Chrysler customer assist to check recall status (and get any other info I could), the day before I purchased my SRT-6 and was told that there were no outstanding recalls and that I had an extended warranty on rear glass adhesion in the top that is good to 100,000 miles regardless of the cars age. I thought that statement was absurd so I asked her again and she clearly stated that if I had any issue with the rear glass in the convertible top it would be covered under an extended warranty until the odometer reached 100,000 miles. My car was originally put in service in Florida, Was transferred to North Carolina and I am the 3rd registered owner of the car at 72,000 miles. This statement had a big impact on my buying decision, I hope it's not more smoke and mirrors from Chrysler, I sweated out the 2.7 V6 engine sludge nightmare with the Sebring ragtops a few years back and ultimately dumped the car out of fear....

Just to add to the confusion
