Throttle position sensors are in everything including my semi. Maybe the XF doesn't throw a code but my tractor threw over 300 codes before I finally had to stomp on the pedal. Yep, technician said to bang it to the floor a few times and sure enough it quit throwing codes. I would suspect it was losing ground. I have a new one on order for the day the stomp doesn't work lol.
