Exactly why I did not do mine, especially since my whole car is 17% metallic film. Recently I was in a friend's car and he had them do a 50% on the windshield that is generally used for residential glass and it looks awesome. You can not tell when you look at the windshield, but it makes the rest of the tint a little darker and is fantastic for bright headlights at night.

If I do mine sometime soon I will post some pictures.
That is illegal in most states, including Indiana.
Here's the Indiana statute :
Non-reflective tint is allowed along the top of the windshield above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.
( now as to what the AS-1 line is, I have no clue )
