Seems like a nice find but you'll also have to be aware, we all want PICTURES and details of the car.
WRT your questoins.
These cars will coast, but not like other cars. The transmission will slow the car down, as it should.
The low growl is normal on decelaration. Mine does it too. I would say nothing is wrong with the car but I'll qualify that with, I haven't heard the noise from "your" car so if it's not the normal growl, it could be something is amiss.
Sounds like you got a great deal. Enjoy the car. A ton on info on here. Use the search and post a thread. Most folks on here are extremely helpful..
