He was implying that AMC Jeeps were a miss-mass of parts made for other cars by all of the Big 3. I almost bought a CJ7 back in the 80's until I learned that about them.

Back OT, I too fell in love with the Crossfire because oof the styling. It was the MB under the hood that closed the deal.
