Default Re: installed E55 air intake

It was a little tricky getting the cover to fit but I wanted the OEM look as much as possible.

In order to get it to fit I had to cut off around three inches of each side of the E55 engine cover because I'm missing a cylinder on each side so it was too long. I then cut the two clips off the back of each side of the pieces I cut off that attach the cover to the air box and then sliced off the front clip. I then put the clips in the air box and the original front rod in front of the pulley and sanded them down until the height was perfect. Then I marked on the cover where the clips would touch the cover, loaded them up with plastic epoxy, laid the top on the clips, made some final adjustments and walked away. So far its holding tight.
