You're right, he's a lunatic. To rely on what seems to be a very inexperienced co-driver on such a fast and narrow stage can only be called crazy. Rally drivers have to rely heavily on not only proper pace notes, but a steady cadence from the co-driver as he reads them off. Total trust and commitment is needed to do well in rally racing.
