Default Re: Crossfire Luggage

There is also an experimental metal version called "Ultimate Cupholder II" from the same supplier at
http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/ucii.html#top
It fits flush with the floor and attaches to the carpeted tunnel with long metal pins. I have been using it for over a year -- it works perfectly, never spills, and is very well made. Here's part of an email I received from the supplier when I first asked about it for the Crossfire last April:
"You might also take a look here: http://www.ultimatecupholders.com/ucii.html That's a quick-and-dirty page that shows a new version that I've not yet made generally available that works in just about anything assuming that the side of the tunnel is relatively vertical and the floor generally flat. Basically the same idea as the original versions, but uses a different mounting approach that eliminates the dependency on the height. That might be a better way to go since it's more adaptable. Functionally they're basically the same and I think it looks a little nicer. Price is the same as the originals. No color selection for these at this time - they're all brushed stainless with black rubber trim."
I don't know why this product is not specifically listed on the current web page, but the links above are still active and will give you an idea of how this ingenious solution works.
