How does the PTCM know the engine is getting too hot ?
I would think that would be from the engine temperature sensor.
My UltraGuage displays this, it is 185 when cruising without A/C, 195 cruising with A/C on, and I have seen 210 in traffic.
My fan goes high speed at around 205.
