My input on no. 3 is that what you are hearing is just the rear suspension working. I hear mine occasionally but only at low speeds in parking lots with crappy pavement. If it's loud and often, you may want to look at the rear swaybar mounts. There are several threads here discussing them breaking away from the body and making a racket.
