Default Heated seat "dealership" repair

Hey Gang,
Just thought I'd share my recent experience. I have a 2005 Crossfire Roadster that the driver side heated seat stopped working. I just purchased this car in May of 2013 and fortunately I purchased the extended warranty. So, I took it to my local Chrysler dealership for repair. The first estimate was for $5,800.00. NO THIS IS NOT A TYPO!!! My extended warranty company was NOT willing to spend that much for a heated seat repair. Chrysler reduced the cost of the parts to ease the pain. The final bill for the heated seat repair which included all new leather seat covers was $4,400.00 (FOR ONE SEAT). I only paid $12,500.00 for the car!!!
I'm a bit nervous about the cost of future repairs for this car!!!!
Anyone else has a similar experience with their heated seats?
