Default Re: Power

My coupe has just over 102k currently and is running as strong as ever (knocking on wood ).The last dyno was 378 RWHP. It is my DD by chioce. All but 40 of those miles have contributed to my enjoyment of the car. I have run the 1/8 and 1/4 mile a few times and had a blast each time I have done it. My PB is 12.16 but I am told my 20" rims and street tires slow me down a bit. I enjoy mountain road running and track days.

All most all of my mods have been Needswings products with guidance from Rob and speedriven products with guidance from Rudy. They both are all about drivability and longevity. Rob will not release a product until it is tested and safe. I would strongly suggest you find someone as knowledgable as these two when you consider adding a mod. In conversation Rob has said he would not be surprised to see a modded SRT THAT IS WELL MAINTAINED make it to 200K.

I am on my 3rd IC pump, replaced an oxygen sensor, had a few water hoses fail and replaced a crank pully that was beging to fail. Other than that as far as maintainence I change the oil every 5k to 6k, have changed the tranny fluid at 50k and 100k, coolant flush at 60k, replaced plugs and wires twice and retired a working IC at 90 k and replaced it with Rudys new unit.

The most hp I remember is Eric's twin charged SRT that was producing 451 RWHP with expectations of hitting 500. I would like to know how that turned out. He was working with Buckhead imports in Atlanta.

In my experience these AMG hand built motors accept power mods quite well.
