Messey, It's been my experience that when it comes to electronics, if it isn't Japanese, it's going to fail. I know some people will argue with me, but that's just my opinion.
All I can tell you is don't "sweat" the little things. I'm sure it's a nuisance having to take the car into the shop repeatedly, but eventually they should get it taken care of for you. This car is too much fun to give up on just because of the small stuff. Good Luck.
