Nope, it's not a lemon. Sensors fail. Hopefully your mechanic will do a good job for you. As far as the oil goes, a large amount is good for you in the long term because contaminants stay more diluted and also it (the oil) will stay cooler because it doesn't have to circulate through the engine as often. Trust you FSS indicator.
