Wouldn't the design of the weather strip also have alot to do with why the window drops. I mean, I've never looked closely at a Mustang, or a Bimmers weather strip. But is there a specific "groove" that the edge of the window fits into when the window is fully closed? If so, then the window would have to drop everytime the door is opened or closed just so the window could successfully "seat" into the weather strip.
I would think this design of weather strip would be very good at shutting out unwanted, and annoying drafts.
But what happens when the battery goes dead?
