I took mine off by prying up on the catch and turning the assemble, however if you happen to have the valve cover off, just remove the phillips screw and out she comes.

Thanks guys I was afraid the simple(?) way was to remove the cover, but as it does not leak I will not remove it.
I guess the sharp edge of the reverse catch digs in to resist rotation. I gave it a little pry as I changed the oil and prepped the car for Woodward but I did not want to get too deep into it. Thanks again fellas.
