I guess the sharp edge of the reverse catch digs in to resist rotation. I gave it a little pry as I changed the oil and prepped the car for Woodward but I did not want to get too deep into it. Thanks again fellas.

It really isn't that hard to get a good seal on that auxiliary cover, I use black silicone gasket sealer but you do need to do a complete job of removing the OE sealer. And you are welcome in that you probably offer more assistance than anyone else on the forum. Thanks to you!
