If it's displaying the classic CPS symptoms.. which we know the camshaft sensor will also.. I'd be real tempted to go with a name brand cam sensor. I think for a Bosch cps to fail within two months is highly unusual.. but I won't say impossible. It does crank-spin but no start correct?

And yeah go right ahead and still be proud of yourself.. there are guys that take them to a shop.. LOL.
