I don't have a definitive answer for you. I'd run a few passes with them closed and then open them up for a few passes. The mph was best with them open but the times were the same. Rob always told me the ECU needed some time to adapt to open cutouts for the best results. So if you go electric be sure to open them on the way to the track. I didn't dare drive to the track with them open.
