Default Will not shift - code p0715

Hi all,

I've had my crossfire for about a month now. Put a good 2.5k miles on it, and no problems. Today, I drove somewhere 55 miles away. Majority of the way there I had cruise control on. No biggie, I have taken the car for a 4 hour drive with cruise control so didn't expect any issues. When my exit neared, i got over, and it drove fine. Then it was a bit sluggish as I slowed down from freeway speed (accelerating a bit on the long off ramp). Came to a complete stop, light turned green and I expected to dart out, but the car slowly went. Threw me way off. Figured it was all in my head. Went down the road, 2 miles no significant accelerating needed, just cruised. Came to another light, light turned green went to make my turn, car did the same thing, super slow.....super slow. I tried to manually change the gear by tapping the shifter. Would not change from D to a specific gear. Usually it goes 4, 3, 2, 1. I floored it, put the pedal to the metal and the car went slightly faster but got loud.

The only thing I can compare it to is when the clutch in my old celica went out. Or as if i were in a manual transmission car and tried to take off in 3rd instead of first or so. Not as extreme, but it was slipping bad. I had an interview to go to, so when i pulled into the parking lot, I had to turn the car off and go. I quickly turned it off as I parked, and turned it back on. Now I was able to go to individual gears. 4 3 2 and 1. I turned it off, went to my interview. Came back, and the car drove normal. I can floor it and itll downshift. Drove it all the way home, occasionally checking to make sure I can change gears. No problems since.

Any idea what this can be? I dont want it to happen again and I dont want to ruin my automatic transmission.
