+1 on that. I had to replace the connector plate in the transmission. Ever since then, no issues. Best bet is to find a reputable MB mechanic. Luckily I have a good one in the Denver area.
From what I have read, sounds like it's that connector plate. Prior to all this, the car was very sluggish to respond to the pedal. Hoping its only that.
If being stuck in 2nd is limp mode, I guess being stuck in first is super limp mode lol.
No loss of power, just wont shift. Also - when this happens I can't manually change the gears with the +/-
