Suggestion: The wired modulator is actually only an antenna splitter - the FM modulation is done internally in the Drive + Play 'brain'. So you could remove the 'wired modulator' completely, returning to a direct connection between the stock antenna and radio and a wireless connection between the Drive + Play and the radio. This will still work. The only downside is that it will be more susceptible to interference from radio stations close to the set frequency.
