I've got the same tires and have had no problems. Paid the additional $185.00 for the all season Conti's. It was a good idea since I live in North East Ohio. Very quiet and a nice smooooth ride. The Tire Rack had these tires on closeout for ~$130.00 each. Get in touch with them and see if they can give you that deal. I've also seen a pair of 18" offered on eBay at $200.00 buy it now price.
Have the best mount and balance. I've heard about problems with the painted rims getting gouged and scratched up.
Sorry to hear that you got screwed in the side wall. That no spare tire thing can be a bummer.
