Were there any sightings of law enforcement out there over the entire time running these beautiful roads??
I'm pretty sure that photo was taken while we were in Big Bend National Park. The speed limit in the park was 45mph which we tried to adhere to with respect to the wildlife. There were park rangers cruising around too. We did cheat it at fun turns though.
But after we exited the park, there was a stretch of highway that was prime for 100mph+...long, straight and smooth.
As we crested the hill going into it, it was obvious there was no law. The road was completely deserted. Many of us were doing 105-110mph for at least 10-15 minutes...would have done faster if it wasn't so hot and concerns about tires on the hot pavement. Many of us did at least 95-100mph for 2 of the 3 days of drives.
