Hey Oldtimer Where are you from? The LED lights are aftermarket. Unless you need them as daytime running lights for legal reasons like in Canada, you can remove them and leave them off. There are other ways around the legal issues, too. But suffice it to say that you can take them off. Using the 3M or Meguires system to restore the headlamps will save you a ton of money and bring them back to new condition. So there you have it - an inexpensive solution to your problem.
