We all know the rear diffs in our SRT6's are the "weak link" especially for those that like to track. However, it was my understanding that the Wavetrac was the answer to solve these weaknesses.
Any time you try to make one part of the car stronger, the next week spot shows up, with wave trac, we gave our car a limited slip differential. we took away the weakness of the spider gears, even though there had been a few ring and pinion Failures before but not as many as spider gear failures.
Before the wave trac I destroyed three rear ends, none of which did the ring and pinion fail, After approximately 12,000 miles, and over 125 quarter-mile runs, I cracked every tooth on the pinion of my 307 gear set.which I sent up to Devon and had him go through everything as per our agreement for the wave-trac test. he found the cracked teeth we replace the gear set, and now that is my spare differential with a wave trac and it
After Anthony had his problem, I PM him and told him that it was the pinion, I think he is now ready for 327 gear set. Which reduces a lot of stress on the ring and pinion jim
