There have been three types of filters used on the Crossfire since it was introduced. The first couple of years the paper filters were used. It has been only in the past year or so they switched from paper to fleece and now the new one where the cap comes attached to the filter. The MB SLK 320 also switched from paper to the fleece filter according to several MB dealerships here in town.
Ya know, this is terribly confusing to me. I just ordered a filter from NewMoparParts.com. They are sending me the "new"...for $14.95. It is supposed to arrive this Tuesday. I am real anxious to see what I am being sent. I know it's not the paper one. Geeze...I really hate this.
