Default Re: Crossed fingers...

Every time the fuse went, it was after activating the turn signals. Initially I could just put a new fuse in, and everything would work again. Then the problem developed into the turn signals working, but the entire circuit would not work when I put the car into reverse. Out of reverse gear- turn signals worked again. Drove it along the motorway and right turn signal happily working, the left would 'struggle' for a bit, and after a couple of seconds, it would come on. I knew it was on it's way out, and by the time I got home it had stopped working altogether. At the time, the right turn signal still worked though! Weird...

And now, doesn't matter how many times I change the fuse, using the turn signal stick blows it again, either left or right.

I'm thinking that the relay is faulty and whereas before a long journey would remelt the solder on the joinings, now it's totally given up on me and just creates a power surge in the circuit and pops the fuse each time. What dya think?
