The DLO I have also has a line out so you can use it with a tape adapter. Unfortunately there's no tape player or Aux in on a Crossfire.

It fits in the cigarette lighter so it gives the Ipod someplace to be and charges it while you listen. I mostly use the ipod to listen to talk & comedy podcasts so the audio quality isn't a big deal. I'd agree that if you are going to use it for a main source of music you're better off using a hardwired solution.
