Re: Parts (lack there of)
I have some good news for everyone on parts for the future.
My x wife is a Buick Reatta collector and has been for years. She deals with 2 parts suppliers out west that have had acres and warehouses of Reattas and parts. Through the years the parts have been used up mostly and they say the Reatta has reached a peak in their opinion.
Mary was on the phone with one of them about a headlight switch and told this guy about my Crossfire. She saw it last week and fell in love. Yes it was love at first sight. She started researching the car and it's history and now is selling her Reattas and getting a Crossfire.
This guy was very surprised and astounded at Marys news because he and the other guy have recently decided to switch over to the Crossfire car business.
They have purchased several and are actively rounding up parts cars and parts to hopefully get the stock up and start advertising and doing business next year sometime.
If these guys are as successful with the Crossfire as they have been with the Reatta than they will be the go to guys for Crossfires with quality used parts for reasonable prices.
Obviously this will take time but these guys have been in the business for years and say that in the last 2 years the demand and interest in the Crossfire has grown a lot and is getting bigger and bigger. They believe the car is becoming quite collectable and getting a huge following.
I guess I added to that with my recent purchase of my baby (LOLA) 2004 #14760 assembled 11/03 shipped to and sold at Balm Beach FL dealer. I have the original window sticker, manual packet and all service docs.
She has 57K original miles and was garaged and well cared for. I now continue that tradition.
Here are pictures of her at a recent car show in the Atlanta area called Caffeine and Octane.
