Default Re: Aero Blue SRT-6 Good Deal or Not?

Exactly---
The $13,500 is a deal with the low miles in my opinion---show it and push it.
A move up from there would not be to bad if you are going to drive it and enjoy it----$18k is high per any numbers I have seen, but this is your call.

There is not a single number on a car.
One dealer paid $11k for a car with 38k in FLA, and in the same month, 8/13, another dealer paid $13,800 for the same mileage in NV---See above.
I wished that it was this easy---One price for car based on the miles, but markets and people make the difference---color can add a grand or more.

But with the car being 9 model years old, the price must be $15k or so---less is better, but if the car has a new battery and fresh oil, no door dings and super clean, then a little more may be okay---again, 10,000 mile cars are rarer, so they will be a little more.

Tell them what you will pay and tell them to give you a call when the "floor plan" time is up.

Most car dealers do not own the cars---they finance them with floor plans---They have 60 days to sell them; if they go over, they must curtail them and not only pay interest but 10% or so down. Most do not want to put "their money" in the car, so they just move the car to auction and get a "fresh face"---If they tried for 60 plus days and could not sell the car, they usually give up and move on.

This is the story with this car---100% without a doubt---dealer to dealer sales shows this loud and clear---something is up.
My first guess----They are over pricing the car due to the low miles.
$19+ was storybook money for this car---The proof is that the car did not sell at several dealers.

Moving dealer to dealer shows SOMETHING is wrong---Like I said, over-pricing would be my first guess, but a problem may be another and this goes back to having the car CHECKED---Months with "professional salesmen" and NOT selling the car raises questions.

Over-pricing is not a problem for you---something else very well could be a problem for you---so check it out.

Price it high and then $18k "sounds" like a deal---almost two grand off right?---But now you know this is not a deal after all.
Two grand lower than this $18k would be top dollar---and lower the better.

Show them Edmunds---Tell them to go to MMR---and then tell them to meet you in the middle today or give you a call later.

If they DARE say---"We are losing money at this price"---Tell them to get the auction receipt---They will fight to NOT show you this.
If they will not---Then tell them to STOP saying anything about losing money if they are not willing to prove that they are at your price.

Tell them to---Put up or shut up.
