1st of they said chrysler parts are expensive they've not let other companies copy the parts and there are sometimes delays for the parts which when they are paying for a courtesy car makes it financial sense for them to write it off as they have to give a like for like hire car if not your fault in my case a brand new audi tt quattro costing them £167 a day!

Chrysler wanted £2000 just for a new door. So price for then to fix with new parts £4000 with already a couple of weeks of the hire car when car valued at £5000 means they write it off as over value of car. after little haggling I was offered £5000 or to keep the car and get £3500 which I went for.

How mad is this. Just typing up some thoughts on your crossfire then a knock at my door. Its my neighbour. He's just run into the back of some body and damaged to front end. He wanted to know if its was still drivable or not. Spooky.

I'm not in the repair game any more, but when I was the insurance companies worked on around 70% of the trade value as a repair limit. The courtesy car shouldn't play apart of those cost. Did they not offer second hand parts to lower the repair figures?
