Over the years I've tried everything on the market that is supposed to keep this tape/fabric "as new". Out of desperation one day while treating my fabric top I applied 303 aerospace protectant. Wow - this is the best product for this application if you decide to not remove the tape and keep your XF stock ~ Tony
