This kit helps with Harsh/Bumpy/Flared shifts, and slipping gears. My car had very minimal flaring between 2nd and 3rd, so I figured it may be a good idea to preemptively install this kit to prolong the gear box life. Sonnax only makes two kits for the 722.6(NAG1) that doesn't require special fixturing and bore reaming. Shift overlap control valve sleeve kit is one of them, and TCC Damper valve and sleeve kit was the other one. Since I have no issue with torque converter lockup, that one wasn't needed.
