Default Re: Anyone ever put a small block 360 with a 904 trans in a crossfire?

Whatever Dave,

Shall we get back to the OP and his desire to make his Crossie ALL Chrysler?

PV2Haish, You will have to change everything but the paperwork documentaion of the original sale to convert the Crossfire to a pure Chysler product. The only thing Chrysler in the car was the sales contract. And it was likely printed on paper made in China.

I believe a V/8 conversion with Mercedes parts is around $25K. Plus the donor car. It's your money.

Your best route, if you want more power from a Mopar drive train is Oledoc's advice. But,the Hemi required significant modifications to the front suspension and raised the car about 2.0" if I remember correctly.
After the build, he wanted $36K for the car.

Your 360 swapmight go easier but you still have to mateit tothe driveline andget it all to fit. I'm stating the obvious but when you are done you will still have a Mercedes product witha Chrysler drive. Not pure Chrysler at all. If it's just more speed and power, there are easier windmills to challenge.
Despite 180's arguments, you can get a lot more out of the 3.2 with available mods,,,or go SRT. Cheaper and much much faster stock than anything you can do to the NA.
