True, the first gen 5.7 Hemi was a bit watered down for the times at 340-ish horsepower (depending on the packaging). And 2006 was not a grand year for the LX platform. Compare that to the 390hp they churn out of the Eagle 5.7 nowadays though.
Having owned a 2008 SRT, I can affirm that it certainly had no issue making power! And the vehicle itself held up just fine till we parted ways.
Not arguing, just kinda throwing that out there.
