Hey Oregon Jaybird.......the "elbows" are vents, the elbow is designed to point downward and theoretically negate the entrance of moisture while admitting fresh air ........the kit merely plugs these [there are two per headlight] and provides a screen in the large cap which allows access to the headlight bulb for replacement. That screen becomes the vent. sound ok ?
