My first car was a 1950 Ford 2 dr coupe. It was a flat head 6 , 3 speed on the column with overdrive which was activated with a pull lever. Color was Harthorne Green Poly. I installed a 54 Chevy grille, fender skirts, de-chromed the entire car, dropped the rear with lowering blocks, placed 56 Olds flipper hubcaps and porta-white walls on all tires...split the exhaust manifold for duals and used "Hollywood" mufflers...showed, with pride, at that time, a car club plaque reading: Hot Rod Street Devils"..Man, what a car!!!. All this was done in 1956!!!
