I went out to watch then and when I went up to the car saw that the body was damaged on both sides on the rocker panels because the person did not put the proper pads on the hoist to lift the car properly. It had 1" gauges on both sides. I showed the mechanic what he had did and his first respond was he did not do it. I said that's funny the lift is painted blue and the scraps have blue on them. He then said it's no big deal we will send it to the body shop and have filler put in the scrapes and paint it. I told him bullshit it's a new car. I went and got the owner and told him I would not accept the car be repaired since it was new. He asked what do you want. I told him you have a new fusion in you lot the same color so pull the rocker covers off that one and you deal with the damaged ones. He agreed and delivered the car back to me later that day. The person that brought my car back told me the guy changing my oil was a service writer and had never changed oil at the dealership before. He told me they were behind so he thought he would pull it in the service bays and do it himself. Needless to say he no longer works at the dealership. At least the dealership made it right.
Amazing. I'm glad it all worked out OK for you.
