I think color matching would make it look dated. That is what they did on the old PT cruisers almost 15 years ago. I never liked the trend in any case.
The charcoal sounds nice, but I think it would blend in too much with the rest of your interior.
So, I voted dark silver, even though I am not a fan of silver in interiors.

Maybe a piano black, or some other color would work even better.

BTW, I am in the same boat. My/our car is a blaze red coupe and I hate the silver river. I was thinking carbon wrap, but maybe that is not a good choice if you are having issues with yours?
