A very appreciative THANK YOU to those of you who've responded to my two posts. It was indeed, as everyone had assumed, the intercooler pump. And Oh Dear Lord what a difference. Mine must have been godawful, because I'm telling you: this is a totally different car now. Wow.
Also, thanks to this forum I saved $2200 quoted install! For 3 hours work. Honestly, the worst part of the project was getting those $*%# spring clamps off. I replaced them with worm clamps, as suggested. And I used the OEM pump: I'm sure another brand may have gotten more juice out of the fuel, but I am EXTREMELY happy with the OEM pump.
Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you fellow SRT6 owners.
Geez man. Don't got back to the shop that quoted you $2,200. Glad you got it sorted it out. For first timers running into the intercooler pump issue they always suspect the worse until they find this forum and figure out it is a (relatively) cheap and easy fix.
