He said to make an offer - if he is insulted by your offer, that's on him - not you. If he wants a grand, then he should have said it. Any item for sale is only worth what the buyer will pay for it. I'm not positive, but I would think that our super chargers are limited to what engine they would fit, so that limits his audience of buyers. If paying him more money to make him feel better is worth it to you, then there are a lot of sellers on here that would love to make a deal with you
The S/C is 8+ years old and you have no idea how abused it was from the previous owners. Although it's rare for the chargers to go belly up, you are still taking all the risk, so remember that when you make your offer.
