Exclamation Aftermarket stereo HELP - antenna adapter

Hi Everyone,

I have a slight problem that I'm hoping you can help me with. After doing research on the forum about the necessary parts to buy before installing my aftermarket stereo, I'm kind of stuck.

I have an '05 Roadster WITH navigation, and I've already pulled the stock radio/navi unit out and tried to install a Sony CDX-GT57UP head unit. Per the forum, it looks like most purchased the Scosche VWA3B antenna adapter, so I did as well.

However, it doesn't fit! It plugs into the Sony head unit just fine, but the other end isn't compatible with the factory antenna connector.

I'm not sure why this adapter has worked for others and not for me....maybe the navigation has something to do with it? Also, I have a convertible, so I have an antenna in the rear (not sure where the antenna is on the coupe's). Maybe this has to do with why the adapter doesn't fit? (Possible that there's one for the coupe and one for the convertible?)

Is there another antenna adapter that will work? Again, the Scosche VWA3B does not fit.

Thanks in advance!
