Glad you found us and you will be glad you did too.
Sometimes after playing with electrical stuff on my XFs I get the BAS light thingy.
I do the turn the wheel full left and right and that has always worked.
Give it a shot!
Be sure to check that battery too. An old one can cause a lot of strange issues.
