S/C Pulley Bearing
Yes, another post in regard to a common subject, but with a twist....
I have heard noise from my s/c pulley before, but only after a period of inactivity (more than 2 weeks). After running the car, the noise abates. It's clear to me that the bearings are on their way out, so I looked around for the replacement procedure. From what I've found, it appears that the bearings require a pressing, which shouldn't be a problem, as I can have this done locally for a nominal fee.
My question is: Since the pulley has to come off, is it reasonable to go ahead and order an upgraded pulley from EC (I'm thinking "yes") and if I do, will they provide a pulley that has new bearings?
Just looking for input from those of you who've been down this road. Thanks!!
