I asked Rudy about this about a month ago. He said he has seen high milage MB engines with these chaines after 200k plus with very little visible wear. The guides and rails are the parts that show wear. He also said if there were to be excessive wear it would present itself with noise you could not ignore long before anything breaks. So if they are not making noise don't worry. Rudy if I misstated this please correct.
