blower problem cause
I am presently t/s my inop blower. I removed the blower and connected 12vdc directly to the motor and nothing happened until I rotated the fan blade. It slowly spun up to high speed. I ran it for ~30 seconds. I touched the brush holders and one of the 2 burnt my finger. Checking the resistance with my meter shows mostly open as I rotated the blade. I believe the cause of the problem is the result of a clogged cabin air filter. I pulled mine and found green exterior carpet, mouse do do, an some other ufo material. I am guessing it probably was only allowing 10% air flow which would cause excessive heat to the motor and regulator.
