Also, keep in mind that if the law states the motor must be newer than the car itself, and yours is older, you can show them data all day long to prove your point, but they are the government and if a law says something in black and white, you are doomed. Show them FACTS and I bet they still will point to the way the law is written. I have seen it too many times in other parts of the governement - inflexibility and a need to prive they have power over you...
That's where the law is vague. It just says "certified to the same", Well technically it is. I'm just not sure if I need to prove it or not. They're about an hour and a half away, I'm tempted to just drive down there and talk to the guy in person.
